Something bad happened to my blogger and Brandon had to make me a new site.  I lost many of my newer posts.  Brandon thinks I might have been hacked.  Who knows.  I don’t know what kind of bored person would take the time to hack a stay at home mom?  Anyway, I am back!  Welcome to my new and improved blog.  :)

We have just found out that we are expecting #3! Any prayer for this baby will be very much appreciated. We are very excited and cannot wait to see if it will be a boy or a girl. My due date is December 29, 2008. Keep the prayers coming. Thanks!

I think I have crossed over into weirdo land. I do not know how I ended up hear but lets just look at this list of “different” things I do.
1. Use raw dairy products and feed them to my children
2. Own chickens
3. I am anti vaccine for young children and VERY conservative about giving them at all
4. I homeschool (big one)
5. I am considering homebirth if we have additional children
6. I use “natural” doctors
7. I do not take my children to the doctor for fear he will make them sick. (no check ups either)
8. I am an advocate of extended breastfeeding

This list goes on but I am beginning to scare myself. What if, though, I am normal and everyone else is weird?

Jane made a cat toy for Marley. She attached two feathers and two balls to a piece of ribbon. Marley thinks it is the best toy he has ever had! Forget about the store bought cat toys!

I am frustrated. I have been involved in a discussion on a message board I belong to. It is a group for off topic homeschoolers conversation and inquiries. Homosexuality came up and a lot of us were in disagreement. It is a Christian group so I was surprised at the level of disagreement and how violent it became. There was even name calling! (Not by me) I took the standard Christian viewpoint that practicing homosexuality is sinful as described in the Bible. The Bible is not unclear about God’s view of the practice. I also said that all sin is the same and that we are all guilty of sin. I believe in repentance and submission to God’s will for my life. Others in the group contested that that is hate and we must acccept this lifestyle because it is proven to be mostly biological in nature. I am shocked that Christian women would not want people to be delivered from an uphappy and dangerous way of life. I can accept the people that are sinning; we have all sinned, but should we agree with it and say that God’s word is untrue? If you believe His word about salvation, why not believe the entire thing? Can people really pick and choose what they want to believe? Will this please our Saviour and Lord? I contest that not accepting sinfulness is not hate, it’s LOVE. If you love someone, you will tell them the truth. For example, my 6 year old daughter recently stole something small from a friend’s house. I told her she had done wrong and I pointed out to her the “Thou shalt not steal” in the Bible. I prayed with her and then we returned the object and she apologized for stealing. I love her so I had to “judge” what she had done. It was wrong, according to God’s standard. Now what if I had said to her “Oh that’s OK. We all take stuff when we are young. There is nothing wrong with that. Don’t feel bad about it and don’t return it. I am sure your friend will not miss the little object after all.” Am I loving her? After all, children do take things. It is because of biology (immaturity) that she stole, right? NO! I have failed to hold her to God’s standard and she has not been corrected. She probably feels pretty good but is that loving?

We call her the sweet booshe’. That is her nickname. Boosh for short. I do not know where it came from but it suites her. It is kind of French sounding, isn’t it?
