Feelings of Rebellion Against Society and Civilization

A part of me would like to withdraw from this country and it's ways.  I would like to go back to the basics.  Farming, raising animals and riding horses sounds good to me.  Is civilization, the way we know it, really progress?  It sees like we are going against God's creation, the way we are living.  Our food and our world is toxic.  The air we breathe is polluted.  Many of us are sick and dying at young ages.  Progress?  If I had my way, I would move to the country and try to separate myself from all that is destroying this planet, its people and animals.  Life is empty if we only seek comfort for ourselves without considering the consequences.  Not only that, we can only truly enjoy comfort by experiencing some discomfort.  Seems like we can't even stand to have our homes a bit warm or cold anymore.
